How to Mix Drinks: A Bar Keeper's Handbook by George Winter

This is a fairly early cocktail book, published in 1884. Unlike many of the others we have reprinted, this has a fair number of advertisements within the pages of the text, which we've chosen to keep. So, in addition to the recipes for cocktails enjoyed in the late nineteenth century, there are advertisements for bitters, glassware, and liquor. We've included a modern resource section on where to find some of those hard-to-find ingredients not often used anymore in cocktails.
