The Twentieth Century Guide for Mixing Fancy Drinks by James C. Maloney


All told, we put out six vintage cocktail books this month, and I plan on releasing at least three more next month. This one was originally published as "The 20th Century Guide for Mixing Fancy Drinks" in Chicago in 1900. I'm not a big fan of champagne, but there is a champagne cocktail in this one that includes lemon peel and angostura bitters, and I am a huge fan of bitters. I might have to tuck a little bottle in my purse when going to our friends' house for New Year's Eve.

I know, I know, you guys are probably wondering what's been going on with the house. I promise to get back to the actual home-improvement end of the blog sometime after the holidays. For now, cheers!
