I've always had qualms about churches used as houses, but that's a beautiful home. I would live there in a New York minute.

I thought that WAS you in the photo. There are tons of church conversions in the UK - I've seen a really great modern one somewhere - I'd do it but heating is often an issue; big spaces, thick stone walls and no insulation can make for enormous fuel bills.

Didn't they hang tapestries on the walls in those old stone buildings to keep down the drafts and provide insulation? Sounds like a job for a quilter :-)
Oo... I've always wanted a church house. There is the coolest one down the street from me... an artist lives there, and he puts his scultures out to "cure" in the yard quite often!
When I've gone to old churches in the UK (and how cool is it to know that you're in a place that was built in 900!?), they've always smelled really musty and dank. I wonder how and if they were able to get the smell out when turning it residential. Gorgeous photos. I covet that home!
There are a couple of churches in an area of Dayton, OH that have been converted to homes...always wish they would have an Open House viewing someday! The landscaping around each one of these homes is outstanding!
